We are very pleased to introduce our new Conservative Councillor, Lewis Chinchen, who won the seat for Stocksbridge and Upper Don in the 2021 Local Elections. Lewis has campaigned tirelessly over the past weeks and months, and has spoken to voters across the Upper Don Valley about how he can best serve them on City Council. Lewis won with a fantastic almost 500 vote majority, and has now become the first Conservative Councillor on Sheffield City Council in almost 2 decades.
Lewis is now starting his work to champion the interests of local people, across Stocksbridge, Oughtibridge, Deepcar, Wharncliffe Side, and surrounding villages. Lewis will be working closely with our fantastic local MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge, Miriam Cates, to deliver lasting change to the Upper Don Valley.
Improving local transport links, tackling fly-tipping and helping to deliver on the Towns Fund project are all priorities for Lewis moving forward, and it's great to see him getting involved with local community groups. Lewis joined local litter pickers in Stocksbridge last weekend, to support them in their efforts to clean up local streets and highways. Lewis will be joining the group each month for their action days, and is keen to also reach out and support other community groups and initiatives across the ward.
If you are a resident of the Stocksbridge and Upper Don ward, then please feel free to get in touch with Lewis. His details can be found below, and he is eager to listen to your concerns and represent your best interests on the Council.
