Following the election of a further Conservative Councillor in the recent elections, we are now looking for new, enthusiastic and engaged individuals to stand as local Councillors in Sheffield and Barnsley in the elections next May. 

Barnsley, Penistone and Stocksbridge Conservatives are looking for local people to champion the views of residents, and to step up to tackle some of the big issues facing our communities.

Unlike many Associations, we cross the boundaries of two local authorities, both Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and Sheffield City Council. This means there are lots of opportunities for you to stand as a candidate across the area, with 19 Wards in need of strong Conservative representation.

This is a big step for many and I would of course be happy to discuss the role and requirements informally prior to application. We can also put you in touch with one of our experienced local Councillors to gain a better understanding of the role.
