Last week, a team of our members from Barnsley, Penistone and Stocksbridge Conservatives headed over to support Ryan Stephenson’s campaigns in Batley and Spen for the by-election coming up this Thursday, 1st July. It was great to be joined by Miriam Cates MP for a day of canvassing and leafleting around the Batley and Spen constituency.
It was encouraging to speak to voters on the doorstep, and hear some positive responses to both Ryan’s campaign and the Conservative Party. A win in Batley and Spen would continue to strengthen the Blue Wall here in Yorkshire, and so it’s all hands on deck over the next couple of days to make sure Labour’s ‘Red Wall’ continues to crumble.
Voters recognize the significant changes that Labour has undergone, and are looking to the Conservatives to represent their best interests, secure investment and ensure jobs and security for residents across Batley and Spen.
